Emily Bennett Inducted into Ohio Restaurant Association – Hall of Fame

CONGRATULATIONS to our 2020 Industry Awards Celebration HALL OF FAME HONOREE: Emily Bennett of Bennett Management Corp. & Tony Packo’s Toledo, LLC. In the 1960s, Bob Bennett, opened his company’s first Burger King. Today, the company employs a thousand employees, operates 25 Burger King locations in Ohio, Michigan and Indiana. Bob Bennett was a brilliant marketer and restaurateur—one of the first to champion the drive-through window; the first Burger King franchisee in the Midwest to offer late night hours; and the first in the U.S to include premiums in children’s meals, beginning with “moon creatures” tied in with the 1969 lunar landing. In 2011, making a bid in a court-ordered sale, Bob came to the rescue of legendary Toledo restaurant group, Tony Packos, made famous by the hit TV show, M*A*S*H. Until his untimely passing two years later, Bob was a true restaurant pioneer. Mr. Bennett’s legacy lives on through his wife, Emily, as she has stepped into the position of Chairmwoman & President. Since taking on that role, Emily’s leadership, vision, wisdom and energy has shaped both organizations significantly, working quickly to learn the business and continue to bring on top talent and guide them towards success. This award is sponsored by Inspire PR Group.
